Communicating with Empathy

The Role of a WhatsApp Volunteer

WhatsApp volunteers at PANDAS Foundation UK offer heartfelt support through written communication, ensuring that every individual feels heard and understood. Our volunteers provide peer support with compassion and empathy, focusing on listening and guiding rather than diagnosing or offering medical advice. This role is about creating a safe space for those navigating perinatal mental health challenges.

Flexible Volunteering

Adaptable and Convenient

Our volunteering opportunities are designed to fit seamlessly into your lifestyle. Whether you’re balancing work, family, or personal commitments, you can schedule your shifts in advance, allowing you to provide support at times that suit you best. This flexibility means you can make a meaningful impact from the comfort of your own home

Training and Community

Comprehensive Support for Volunteers

At PANDAS Foundation UK, we equip our volunteers with thorough online training that can be completed at your convenience. Once trained, you’ll become part of the PANDAS volunteer WhatsApp Community, a vibrant and supportive network where volunteers share experiences, offer encouragement, and connect with one another. Our dedicated staff are always on hand to provide guidance and support, ensuring you never face challenging conversations alone.

Volunteer Commitment Requirements

Our volunteers dedicate two-hour shifts, available from 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. Shifts are booked in advance through our online rota system, allowing you to plan around your schedule. This role is remote, requiring access to a laptop, tablet, or smartphone. Comprehensive online training is provided, ensuring you’re fully prepared to offer support. Volunteers complete confidential handovers and maintain service records as needed, ensuring seamless support continuity.
